Juvederm

Juvederm(r) Dermal Filler Product Line

Juvederm hits the market - January 2007.

The Juvederm dermal filler product line is a range of products based on non-animal, crossed linked, homogenous gel hyaluronic acid-based products.

Juvederm is available in several ex-U.S. markets, including the EU where the product is marketed by LEA Derm under the brand name Hydrafill.

Juvederm, made by Allergan Inc. (the makers of Botox), will be available to no-wrinkle-wanting clients in many dermatologists and cosmetic surgeon's offices beginning in January.

Juvederm Anti-Wrinkle

Juvederm is hyaluronic acid, which is one of the building blocks in the skin, the glue in between the collagen fibers of the skin. It is an anti-wrinkle product.

Juvederm will cost about $500-700 per tube. Someone wanting a similar result as a facelift will probably need three or four tubes costing several thousand dollars. But the treatment will only have to be done once a year.

Juvederm can be injected where dermatologists have injected collagen and other anti-wrinkle products.

The gel filler is injected under the skin to reduce the signs of lines and wrinkles, and some doctors believe it may replace many fillers and wrinkle remedies currently on the market.

Dr. Rapaport announces Injectable Medical Treatments Including Botox(R), Juvederm, Restylane, Sculptra
Date Released: 01/05/2007
Englewood, N.J. RALEIGH, N.C. – Dr. Jeffrey Rapaport, Medical Director of Cosmetic Skin & Surgery Center , , has announced that the center has added injectable medical treatments, including Botox(R), Restylane(R), Juvederm, and Sculptra™, to their client services. (http://www.cosmeticskin.com/skin-fillers.shtml)

Botox Cosmetic is commonly used to reduce or eliminate the appearance of facial wrinkles. Made from a purified protein, Botox injections block nerve impulses, weakening muscles to relax wrinkles and give the face a rejuvenated look.

Restylane is a filler for correcting skin texture imperfections like acne scars, wrinkles, furrows, contour depressions and fine lines that works immediately and lasts long by providing volume and fullness to the skin. http://www.cosmeticskin.com/skin-fillers.shtml

Juvederm is a hyaluronic acid in injectable form for filling facial lines and wrinkles, enhancing the lips and correcting small facial scars and minor imperfections. Hyaluronic acid is the most popular material used for these purposes and has, over many years, been demonstrated to be both safe and effective. Juvederm is of NON animal origin, an important consideration for people today and need NO pre-test.

Sculptura is a safe, synthetic and biocompatible material that corrects the effects of fat loss by promoting production of the body's natural collagen in treated areas. Sculptra provides a gradual and significant increase in skin thickness, improving the appearance of folds and sunken areas long after the course of treatment.

"We are happy to offer these four injectable treatments," said Dr. Rapaport. "Our medical doctor will be more than happy to help customers determine which of them works best for their individual needs."
