ALZHEMED is a proposed Alzheimer's medication by Neurochem Inc. A clinical trial of the drug, Alzhemed, will wrap up in January, 2007.

The results of the clinical trials of Alzhemed is expected in the spring.

Alzhemed's purpose is keeping Alzheimer's disease from slowly, relentlessly destroying the brain, something no drug has yet done.

The data on Alzhemed has been scant so far. Although promising. In a 2002 study Alzhemed it stabilized Alzheimers in nine patients over six months. Alzhemed is a (tm) of NeuroChem.
